Military members, the SCRA and credit cards?

Question by Kanna A: Military members, the SCRA and credit cards?
I've read that the servicemembers civil relief act can work on credit card debt accumulated before the servicemember becomes active duty status. I'm having trouble finding a lot of details on this however.


How do you begin to take advantage of this act (just send a letter to the credit card companies, is proof required, etc)?

Does is apply to the spouse of the servicemember as well?
