Will several secured credit cards at one time improve my credit faster?

Question by rayban: Will several secured credit cards at one time improve my credit faster?
I have a poor credit rating but I intend to buy a house in 10 months to a year. I'm gonna ramp up my effort to increase my credit score over that time as much as I can. Will multi secured credit cards help me accomplish my objective. If I get them, I'm gonna turn them over to my wife who has excellent credit and allow her to maintain them...what do you guys think
