Answer by Chris CMost credit card companies allow people with poor credit to get a "secured" credit card. A secured credit card basically means that you give them a deposit and they give you credit. It's almost like a pre-paid credit card if you will, so if you don't pay them back, they just take the deposit. This would be the best route to go other than signing up for a card with a ridiculously high interest rate.
